Who We Are
We are delighted to welcome you today!
The Episcopal Church is a place that embraces newcomers and visitors. If there is any way in which we can help you to be more comfortable, please let the ushers know. If you would like to speak with the priest, please let the usher know that as well.
We also have, from time to time, special gatherings such as Anam Cara during Lent, and adult forums which are scheduled throughout the year. Monthly schedules are published.
Each year during Advent and Lent, we offer retreats to help people prepare for the major holidays of Christmas and Easter.
The retreats are times spent in worship, contemplation and quiet. They are designed to give everyone the rest and strength needed to prepare our hearts for the events we celebrate, and our heads and bodies for the secular pressures that usually accompany the holidays.
Grace Church is a member of theEpiscopal Diocese of Chicago.
Visit the national website of the Episcopal Church to learn how we are “called to carry on Christ’s work of reconciliation in the world and to take our place in the life, worship, and governance of the church.”
Episcopal Relief & Development
Episcopal Relief & Development is the compassionate response of The Episcopal Church to human suffering in the world. Hearing God’s call to seek and serve Christ in all persons and to respect the dignity of every human being, Episcopal Relief & Development serves to bring together the generosity of Episcopalians and others with the needs of the world.
Episcopal Church Women
Women are empowered by working collaboratively with women’s organizations, program and ministry groups within and outside the Church, as well as with global and local networks working for gender justice, and individual women compelled to risk transformation – of the world, the church, and their own lives in Christ.
